The Great Experiment
Hey all! I wanted to let everyone know that I am not going to be using Medifast products for the next month. I want to try an experiment where I follow the 5/1 plan but use alternative products. I am doing this to try to save money. I am estimating this will cost about $100 a month plus the cost for Lean and Green meals.
Since this blog is dedicated to Medifast, I started a new blog dedicated to my experiment. All the details on my menus, progress & products are found on the new blog:

Here are the details of the plan that I am going to try for a month, starting on 2/6/2011.
Diet:
Calories: under 1200
Carbs: under 100 g
Fat: under 30 g
Protein: over 100 g
I am still going to follow the 5/1 plan.
(Eating 5 meal replacements a day and 1 Lean & Green meal)
Exercise:
Monday: 25 mins cardio, 15 mins upper body strength training, 5 mins stretching.
Tuesday: 25 mins cardio, 15 mins lower body & core strength training, 5 mins stretching.
Wednesday: 25 mins cardio, 15 mins upper body strength training, 5 mins stretching.
Thursday: 25 mins cardio, 15 mins lower body & core strength training, 5 mins stretching.
Friday: 25 mins cardio, 15 mins upper body strength training, 5 mins stretching.
Supplements:
Kirkland Daily Multivitamin
Vitamin C: 1000 mg
Jarrow Formulas Fiber Perfect
Fish Oil: 2400 mg (I have taken this for 6 months)
Vitamin D3: 2000 IU (I have taken this for 6 months)

I found the mini luna bars match the crunch bars pretty well (in terms of calories and carbs)
Also Suzy's Rice Cakes match the Cracker Snacks (You can find them at health food stores)
