3 Month Medifast Anniversary!

Today (12/20/2010) is my 3 month Medifast Anniversary! See what a difference 3 months and almost 47.6 lbs can make?  I am over 1/3 of my way to my weight loss goal.

And yes, I look taller because the other problem my weight loss has solved is ankle problems.  Now I can rock all my high healed shoes because I am not having the ankle pain I was having before.  I am wearing jeans that are 3 sizes smaller and tops 1-2 sizes smaller.

Starting Weight: 310 lbs
After 3 Months: 262.4

Bust: -4.5 inches
Waist: -7 inches
Hips: -7 inches
Arms: -1.5 inches
Thighs: -4 inches
Total: 24 inches lost!

Here is my before and now photo:

Wow! You look fabulous and totally different. Congratulations and keep up the good work.

I just started three weeks ago. I've had a few wobbles with Medifast due to Christmas parties, but I'm going to hang in there.

Your recipes are amazing. Thanks for sharing!

WOW! You look amazing, especially considering it has only been three months! I started Medifast today - I blog at www.mom-nom.com - and honestly, I'm a bit overwhelmed. All the additions to the shakes, puddings, things you can make, etc. have me spinning. Not to mention I am STARVING. Any tips? How did you wrap your brain around everything? How much time do you spend planning?
Thank you so much for all the compliments! I love Medifast & have been so please with how well it truly does work.

Tiffany - it can be very overwhelming at first, but in reality Medifast is a very simply program. 5 Medifast meals & 1 L&G. For the first 2 weeks, I would suggest to prepare the Medifast food as directed & not add things to it, unless you need to. This will give you time to get into the groove of it all. If you find you don't like something, then see how you can change it. Once you get past the first 2 weeks, you may want to start experimenting with different recipes.

Regarding being starving, this is normal for the first few days while your body goes into Ketosis. Most people notice their hunger & cravings die down after 3-5 days. Just hang in there while your body adjusts, the starving is temporary. Also, you can split your L&G meal into 2 meals - that helps a lot of people with hunger. Also, Egg Beaters give you the most amount of food for your Lean portion, so you could consider making the Cheesy Egg Muffins or a Frittata to help you stay fuller.

If you want, feel free to email me at cody.echtermeyer@gmail.com or add me on Facebook. Also, the mymedifast.com forums are great support. If you add me on Facebook, I can add you to a Medifast support group that is wonderful too.

You can do this!!

I keep logging on to see your progress. You are absolutely amazing.

Your before and after picture? I'm blown away at the thought of what you're going to see in 40 more pounds considering the difference with the first 40.

So far I think Medifast has been the easiest way to lose weight and I'm hopeful for being able to keep it off. Your advice to Tiffany was spot on. I'm just now venturing out to do some of the things you suggest, after the 5-1 had become a habit. I can't eat that oatmeal though. Good grief. I had to immediately turn it into something else.

Thank you for sharing with us your progress!!!
